Anyone intrested in reamping?

David, would it be ok to use my mix of this song as a showcase of my reamping/mixing/mastering, and to put it on my Soundclick for people to listen to?

Ok, final update, fixed the guitars were a bit harsh around 1.5k or so, and my cymbal chokes weren't working properly.

@cobhc, I'm not liking your drums man :/ the cymbals and kick are 'ok', the snare is pretty egkh, sounds really muffled. What did you use for them?

Oh, and ditto to what Cobhc said, although I did PM you, dunno if you check them.

Subscribing to check out the tracks later today. I'd be happy to help with re-amping.

Do you have any tones in particular you can relate to that you'd like to see some qualities of in your re-amped tracks? (Other songs, albums, clips, etc)

I can see where you're coming from about the snare, but I really like it, I'm aiming more and more these days for thicker snares, but maybe I could put a little more high end in there.

Welcome to the forum. Very nice first post! WTG! :)

Thanks Dude! I hope Fuge will one day get some crushing vocals to complete his original sounding songs.

If I had a record label, I'd gladly give him the opportunity to make a great album. This kind of music is needed at these times, when new trends in music come and goes, but the originals will live for generations, Cheers!!!

Here's my quick headphone mix. I used Superior 2.0 Avatar kit instead of Addictive Drums. The kick is replaced with the Sneap Kick .gog.
Dude, you're an amazing guitar player by the way.

I had 2 mixes up initially, but the first was crap so I took it down. Here's my 2nd mix:

I'm actually really impressed with the Superior 2.0 overheads after doing this. I've never really been able to get a nice sound out of the cymbals until I started messing around with this song. They are a bit tricky compared to its predecessor. I may have to try using the full 2.0 kit in my own stuff instead of mixing the drums from S2.0 with the cymbals from S1.0

@ Splat88:
How did you treat the midi file (programmed for Addictive Drums) to make it fits with Superior 2.0 drum map?

Hey Fuge!

What's up? I didn't see you on msn nowdays... :)
Anyway, i had a lot of time so i tried to mix this masterpiece:)

For anyone who prefers superior, i transposed the original midi for DFHS2, so you don't need to mess with it. You can download it here Mostly like the original but sometimes it hits another cymbal. I didn't messed a lot with it...

And you can check my mix here

I'm hope you will like it:))

Could you please share it? :)

Sorry, that was a bit misleading, its not a transfer map. I just created a blank midi file, and dragged each kit component from the AD midi file into my Superior file. Its a bit of manual work, but if you've done it before, it shouldn't take you more than 2 or 3 minutes.

I tried to use the wrap map feature in EZplayer to automatically transfer the drums from AD to Superior, but it didn't work. That's odd because I've had success at this before.

Anyone wanna upload just their drum track for the song?

I'd like to dork with the re-amping, but don't have anything on hand to do full midi > audio drum tracks with at the moment.

:)
