HELL awesome work guys!! I'm in a hurry now, travelling soon for a week or so; after that I can write more details!
btw i recorded with the pod, set to clean send, with the old viper 100 (emg81) elixir 11 strings...
the signal may contain some noise from my nasty crt monitor

Your EMG 81 sounds really good and your DIs have some good headroom. Every time I record with my 81 through the clean send on my POD, the tracks are peaked out on palm mutes and hard open chords. I know you're supposed to keep EMGs as close as possible to the strings, but approximately how far away are yours?
I'd like to know more too, i really like those DI, very easy to make good guitar sound with them

Had a really quick go at this. I'll give it another crack tomorrow when my ears aren't quite so dead, and I can listen through monitors instead of headphones. Bass drum is double triggering to fuck, but oh well, I'll sort it out later

Haha seriously, that kick SLAYS. The low end is TIGHT and the attack is very wet and nice... yum, brings porn to my mind.
So, seriously, you mind sharing that sample if it's not something copyrighted? ME LUV U LONGTIME!
I like the mix quite a lot too, apart from the fact that the drums might be a bit overpowering at certain places but it's not too bad. But the kick... omg yum!

I've tried something else to work with the guitars and it come out better than i expected. I reamped with SoloC and TSS in front of it, only using the Crunch channel and cranking it insanely hard. It came out very tight i think

The snare consists of 4 samples total: mainly Behindert snare (smack2) + 3 other samples from my collection. Here is the final sample: http://www.sendspace.com/file/oho3x9
Toms are Premier toms from DFHS 1.0 with fade turned on to remove nasty ringing, compressed with Waves RAxx and EQ'd.
Cymbals are from DFHS 1.0, not much processing on them.
All drums are compressed with Oxford Dynamics Native, little EQ'd.
Finally, on the master bus i have Waves C4 and Waves L2 with almost untouched default settings
