Then they decided to follow any trend that was popular.

St. Anger was a result of Nu Metal popularity. In Some kind of Monster, there is even a lengthy scene where Lars and Kirk are fighting over guitar solos.

Lars didn't want any guitar solos because it was the current trend in metal. That scene was seriously the biggest load of shit in music history. Lars openly admitted he doesn't give a shit what his album sounds like as long as it made money.

Never been a massive metallica fan.. only like a few songs nothing more.. and what heartless says is true.. I didnt get into metal till i was about 15..

when i was a kid i was too busy playing alex the kid on the sega master system(did any 1 ever complete that game was like the hardest fucking game ever!) and mario on the nes all that shit that you do when your a kid, haha I remember when i had the ghostbuster tower and car.. an also Hemans castle.. them were the days!
