like it or not, Metallica are definitely a part of the metal blue print. They helped light the flame that burns all the way down to the current metal scene of today. No one on this forum can play guitar and sing like James Hetfield, the man is a metal master when he wants to be.

Yes, there are people on this forum who can. In fact, there are MANY people on this forum who can play guitar better than James Hetfield.
The man is not a metal master. He is a decent guitarist, and had a good metal voice until he decided sounding like a cunt was cool around 1988-90. Megadeth and Slayer are just as much a part of the metal blue-print as Metallica, and like Slayer or not, they didn't pussy out and suck some record producer's dick for sales.
Goddamn Metallica just brings out the worst in me : /

I laughed my ass off at that scene. Kirk makes a point but they are both just so whiney! Also i lost my final respect to any of those when i noticed the Dave Mustaine with Lars thing was shortened so it looked like Dave was the whiney/bad guy

i'm fucking sick of the people who think the only good music are the ones who have uberdifficult solos at speed of the light.
as far technics goes, they are better. so fucking what? that is not what makes music. Nothing Else Matters or Fade To Black solos makes me shiver everytime, something that never happened with SymX or any other prepotent cunt guitarrist.

James Hetfield composition skills are awesome, with the structure, riffing, harmonization, etc. Listening to S&M makes you realize are good the songs are, and not only because the other dude added an orchestra.
