In work: suit and tie.

Out of work - generally a band T shirt, jeans.

Hair: At the moment, short and gelled up. Mostly though, shaved to grade 1 or grade 2.

Dating: Married. To non metal fan.

Parties: Too old.

I wear band shirts a lot, but I don't really look like a traditional metalhead. I don't go to these "metal parties" you speak of. I've been to a few metal clubs but they generally suck. I do have a girlfriend that loves metal though.

I have a few band t-shirts but I usually don't wear them. I don't dress "normally" but I'm sure people can tell I listen to metal or at least non-mainstream stuff.

i was the stereotypical banger in high school.i had hair to my nips and every shirt i owned was a band shirt. i hated anything that wasn't metal. luckily there were a bunch of other bangers in my grade and the two above me that there usually were metal parties every weekend. since then i've really calmed down with the attitude and can at least tolerate crappy tunes. the only time it bothers me is when i'm driving long distances with people and start to get an itch for somethin crazy(fuckin radio listeners). i only have two band shirts now and i only wear them to shows. i am growing my hair back out though, just below the chin atm.

Oh, this again. Btw, I didn't say all were.

Besides, satire in my previous post FTW

To answer the question seriously, I only have a couple friends who listen to metal. I don't really care what my friends listen to. Most of what we do doesn't deal with music, although they certainly know I like metal because I do a metal radio show and wear band shirts sometimes. They seem to respect it though because they think I'm good at guitar, and I don't act like a musical elitist. Only 1/5th of my shirts are band shirts, and I wear skate shoes and Chucks (more so 1.5 few years ago). And I have seriously long hair.

Ive been wearing alot more metal shirts recently. It's funny cause when I was trying to find a girl I never wore them. A good percentage of chicks get turned off by pretty much any band shirt it seems.

I have a handful of metal friends that exchange cd's back and forth on a regular basis and we get severely shitfaced and jam metal to all hours of the night so...yeah I'm pretty much the typical metalhead. Only with short spiky hair.

hair is currently medium length, but I'm in the process of growing it long.

band shirts? Some, getting more, but not all metal.

friends? I have a solid number of friends who listen to metal, but mostly mainstream stuff like Lamb of God or whatever. Some of them listen to a bit of death metal like behemoth though so I can relate somewhat.

Girlfriends, only had 1 long relationship so far, and she listened to metal for a little bit then stopped listening to music all together. I think I'd need to date a girl who had some sort of musical common ground with me (not that hard as long as she doesn't listen to radio garbage), she wouldn't need to listen to metal but it would help if she tolerated it.

I have long hair (avatar) and wear bandshirts sometimes. It kind of changes when the weather starts getting nice, then I like 'summery' sleeveless, non-black stuff. Cold seasons = black usually though, haha.

I have one real metalhead friend and 2 that listen to metal and everything else, and the rest are non-metal. I get along with everyone of course, but I have to say: I connect best with my friends that do listen to it. My girlfriend is awesome too, as she's into a bunch of metal bands as well (I managed to get her into some 2 years ago haha).

One thing that probably seperates me from a lot of metal people is the fact I don't drink alcohol. I prefer lifting weights and consuming large amounts of protein whilst listening to Amon Amarth, Ensiferum or other badass music. I also like being upside down.

When it comes to upper body wear I almost always wear metal shirts. I used to have long hair but I'm growing it out again. I do not give a shit about dating girls that listen to metal. I actually prefer females that don't listen to metal because most of the metal chicks I've met suck. Really bad taste in music is kind of a turn-off though.

:kickass: I do the same, but the only difference is I drink. I'd be twice the size i am now if I didn't drink. But what fun is that.

How tall are you?

yeah. most of metal girls stink, are ugly or don't know nothing about metal.

That is true in my experience. There are no Metal chicks at my school but I don't really care. I had one relationship with an idiotic girl who listened to pop-punk. If I got a gf I wouldn't care what she listened to as long as she was open to more music.

do you look like a headbanger that wear metal bands everytime, just go the metal parties and have dates with people that likes metal as you?

or do you listen to metal but have a common life, use any kind os clothes and don't care if isn't playing metal where you are and have friends that don't like metal but respect your taste and you respect then too???

the latter... i'll bust out a slayer shirt or something once in a while but i don't really consider myself a "metalhead" just a fan of metal music

I wear band shirts most of the time, in part because I don't like shopping for clothing, so all I really have are band shirts that I get at concerts and a couple pairs of jeans that I switch between. I have long hair. Most of my closest friends listen to metal, but I don't not hang with people cuz of that or whatever.
