Incidentally, my band are an Epic D-Beat Downtempo Crust Metal band. Are there any restrictions on genre lengths?

Well I guess in no time we should be making volumes?
Hey jason (that's your name right guru?), what about we limit the registrations of your forum you made to only allow people from here? I mean like you can moderate who is registerting and make sure it's someone from here (make a rule that the same username must be used?)
So that way we can start dividing the volumes by genre and make a thread for each volume over there so we don't overclog this place with all the threads

Yup thats the idea 
Right now we only have members from here, so its all good. I may just close registrations off completely, and have people email to have accounts set up. Something we can discuss.

I like that idea, about emailing to have an account set up. Of course that could just mean too much trouble for you if a bunch of people want to register on the same day haha

Dude, I am sitting at my day job right now and sitting here on UM. Trust me creating an account for someone only takes a few seconds. I am one of those lucky cunts that get to cruise the net all day at work, look at titties and talk music with people from all over the world, and not have to be a porn producer ...lol (well ok I do produce porn but that's just for fun..lol)

What about 80's/hair metal? It was briefly mentioned earlier in the thread. Will this be included, or is it not "metal" enough for this compilation? If so, I may have something...especially if I can ever get some vocals on a newer track.
i'd like to contribute a song to this, too.

We still have some time. I am thinking probably get the first submissions started around Sept and get them together and set up for a Dec release. Realistically that's what could work for me.
