but seriously, I'm sensing hard feelings between the two. I tried looking for Christian's myspace, the SS page already deleted him from both the top friends and the buddy list. Classic "we wanted to go another direction, but he didn't" kinda thing.

Christian is one of those singers that doesn't have to be good looking to turn me on though.

It all depends, do you still want to be friends with her? If so, call her or talk to her online. Her phone/online persona, like much people, could differ from her school and/or real life persona.

If she starts to act like a bitch, move on. Forget about her. High School usually doesn't mean anything as far as being cool goes, because most high schools feature girls who are extremely shallow and think they're better than everyone else. And when high school is over, what are you now?

I would keep trying to talk to her, but if she decides that she's better than you because of group status, then forget about her and move on.

Yes, I'm quite pissed he left too. The man had, IMO, one of the best voices to come out of Sweden in the past 10 years. I really hope that they find a worthy replacement, because it's going to be hard finding someone with as much skill and range as he had.

Of course, he'll be just fine. He's been in about ten different bands already, and now he can focus full-time on Miseration. I hope that's what he does because they're really good.

Also, for bonus points, have you ever thought that Christian Alvestam is very similar to Bjorn Strid (Soilwork, Terror 2000, Disarmonia Mundi) in both appearance and vocal styles?

This is going to sound bad, but I think SS is done. Christian is irreplaceable. A voice like that is very hard to find in today's metal scene.

When I first saw/heard of SS, to be honest, I thought they were a Soilwork rip off, so yes, he looks just like him. Of course I couldn't have been any more wrong.

Watching the video for The Illusionist at 4AM with an ear infection must have done something.

Agreed, most unfortunately. And I never got to see them live either. I should have gone to the show when they were touring with Katatonia, but at the time, SS was the only band on the bill that I liked, and I figured they would come around again. Then I missed them again on the tour with The Haunted because of family shit. Talk about suckage.

That was such an epic tour, well, minus The Haunted. We met the SS guys and I'm pretty sure I have a pic with them somewhere. My camera died before we could run into them
