ATL Local Show Reminders

Wow. Awsome! Congratulatons Patrick & EbS!
Mema was thrilled to be there. The rest of us would have been there too, if we weren't here.

EBS beat Neural Implosion, lol.

I sincerely hope you weren't implying anything by this section of your post.

regardless...

We'll definitely be sharing the stage with Neural Implosion in the future without any doubt in my mind. I'm not particularly a fan of that breed of metal, but they do it well and I can't help but enjoy their show. For some reason they seem a lot different (and a hell of a lot better) than all of the local death metal bands I've seen.

The Neural Implosion guys were a great bunch of musicians and I loved hanging out with them. They destroyed the place and I was betting on them placing in the contest, but since they only announced a first prize winner I would have to add in terms of any scoring that might have went on we probably only beat them by less than a tenth of a point if that. They were SERIOUSLY incredible.

And Im so damn glad Hexxenhaus Massacre and Greyskull weren't in competition. I'll just leave it at that on their performances.

This will be an annual event hosted by the NYDM-Georgia Chapter, next year is already in the making and we, of course, are currently in line to be a part of it. Most likely we will be an exhibition act next year, and from what I understand the next one is going to be full of surprises. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there. :)

Right on! That venue looked smokin' in the pics that were posted! I'll try to be there next year!:headbang:

wow.

I leave town for a few days, and while I am gone no one kept a leash on EBS. And you see what happened? They continued their march through Georgia and destroyed Gainesville. :ill: Those poor townsfolk had no warning. Some barely made it out alive! All I could think of was 'that poor MeMa'. Has anyone even seen her since Saturday!?

And Billy - I left you in charge man. What happened? :guh: *sigh* I guess that means no more out of town trips for me.

I'm now hearing rumors that EBS is now looking south toward Florida. ...whoa be unto the Floridians. *prays*

ok, in all seriousness... I'm proud of both EBS and ALD for setting new standards for True Metal in the metro Atlanta area.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

That's great, right? Now, what about the next 60 days for the ATL metal scene?

once the timing is right, Greyskull will be invading The Local venue in Marietta. Let's just hope the sound system can handle their assault! :heh:

I'm looking very forward to working with these guys. :kickass: When Pathfinder Promotions joins forces with the NYDM GA Chapter, you had better find something to hold onto. Because the local metal scene in Atlanta will not be the same!

A death metal invasion? Please say it IS so!:headbang::kickass:
How would you classify Greyskull, and do they play by the Power of?

Greyskull is not death metal. They play a thrashy traditional style of metal not too far gone from a combination of ManOwaR meets Testament. Let's just say that they would be a great match for EbS on stage, although Patrick is grateful that Greyskull was an exhibition band and not in competition Saturday night. ;) LOL. Their longtime friends Hexxenhaus Massacre lean a little toward death metal I believe, but Greyskull is definitely power/thrash.

The NYDM GA Chapter supports all manner of metal - death, thrash, power, progressive, southern, traditional, modern, etc. So don't let the name fool you. But these guys have connections all over the U.S., so the possibilities of bringing Atlanta some different metal acts that you might not see otherwise is looking better than ever. And likewise - the NYDM group can put me in contact with many different quality venues across the U.S. in order to send the Pathfinder bands on the road sometime. So then the rest of the ProgPower community can see what all the buzz is about!

Don't get me wrong, man. I LOVE EBS's style and never want them to change. EBS was my second favorite band at the January C II C show, BTW. GREAT first impression! :worship: Can't wait to see Greyskull!:headbang:

I dig the hell out of Neural Implosion. I saw their first show and have seen them multiple times since then. They have great stage presence. Their new music is just ridiculous. Down here we've got a "scene" dominated music scene and NI is one of the few bands that give us a breath of fresh air away from that.
