Attn Doomsday Zach... You Were Right About Cryptopsy...

I think I just lost some respect for Flo. Why not stick to what you have done and do what you wish, there are people out there who will still love it, like me for one, i was really curious to check out the whole new disc. Talk about not doing what you want artisticly and listening to everybody but yourself and the music you created. If I wrote and recorded the music I would release it because I wouldn't of recorded it unless I was proud of my art, not matter how people receive it.

Montreal's CRYPTOPSY has revealed that they have decided to postpone all future CRYPTOPSY performances and the release of the group's forthcoming album, "The Unspoken King", Drummer Flo Mounier had this to say:

"Due to the current circumstances of the fans being unable to comprehend our new material, we have decided to call it quits. It should be said, however, that this will probably not be permanent, but we shall see. For we, the band, feel that the fans deserve from us something that they can appreciate no matter how closed minded they may be, and as such we have failed to deliver such to them, it is our obligation to quit and reevaluate the situation and take stock of our lives. We did not wish to alienate our entire fan base, let alone do it before the album even hit the shelves, but alas that is exactly what we have done. As such we have decided that the best thing to do at the moment is to drop off the SUMMER SLAUGHTER TOUR and postpone the release of our new album "The Unspoken King", possibly forever. We are very sorry if some of you were looking forward to seeing us on tour, but it must be said that as a band, the reaction we got from the leaked songs was not positive at all and it was felt that the same reaction would probably occur out on tour. Therefore, we have decided to not continue on with our current tour and album commitment. Again, we are sorry and want to thank ll the loyal fans for years of buying our stuff and going to see us live despite the line up changes we've had over the years!"

CRYPTOPSY's last studio album, "Once Was Not", was released in 2005 via Century Media Records and has sold 77,000 copies world wide.

No it was a joke started on the Nile forum which then spread like wildfire through other forums and then to Blabbermouth. Blabbermouth would report that Dimebag rose from the grave and formed a kraut-rock trio with Miles Davis and Elton John if you sent them a report about it.

Actually I did hear that the guy who hoaxed that Cryptopsy story came out so that's probably why Blabbermouth took it down. However, the fact that some of you think that Blabbermouth delivers fake news regularly considering the vastly outweighing amount of legit information (like tours reuion details new music posted online etc) over the occasional bullshit that accidentally gets posted as legit is an indicator of some level of stupidity. Sorry to say.

Ok, how many fake stories have they posted intentionally? How many fake stories have they posted unintentionally versus the number of legit stories?

It's funny you call me delusional when 90% of the time the shit they post is completely legit (since a lot of it COMES from the bands/labels themselves).
 
Touchy, aren't we? I didn't say most of the stuff they posted was fake. My point is they post pretty much anything that comes to them regardless of it having any merit or not. I also didn't say it was their intention to post a fake story, but posting anything you can regardless of truth or not isn't called news, it's called a rumor. I still use the site because yes, most of the time things are legit (though the confirmation for me is typically the same press release sitting in my e-mail inbox). Like it or not, they're rather sensationalist and will put up anything if it makes a good headline.
 
lol I can totally imagine you guys looking at some leaked tour info thinking "THIS HAS TO BE FAKE" after all the years it turned out to be legit in the past. Might be time to come out of that cave, guys.

Not touchy, just shocked at your backwardsness and general being of uninformed. Rumors are still news fyi (welcome to journalism.. find me a major media source that solely reports on what's official). New information isn't necessarily determined by direct confirmation from the source itself. Think for yourself please. AND... considering that most of the stuff they post is legit, no they do not "post pretty much anything that comes to them regardless of it having any merit or not." I'd say about 90% of the stuff they post turns out to be legitimate and the other 10% usually comes with a "WARNING: THIS IS JUST SPECULATION" tag. So yeah, it's pretty shocking that you're this backwards.


Anyways this is a thread about Crytopsy's new suckyness and not the legitimacy of Blabbermouth.


Cryptopsy sucks. :lol:
