Attn Doomsday Zach... You Were Right About Cryptopsy...

When it comes to metal, yeah they are.

You haven't been at this very long have you. Blabbermouth has posted countless stories over the years that have run the gamut from slightly stretching the truth, to complete bullshit works of fiction. If you quite honestly consider them the most reliable and credible source of information in the "metal world" then truly their is no hope for you, I am sorry to say.

I've actually followed Blabbermouth as well as some of the other major metal news sites since their respective inceptions. Obviously Blabbermouth has posted stories about Gene Simmons and Fred Durst that are a waste of time, but for information with regards to upcoming tours, general band/album information/updates (including links to new samples) Blabbermouth is the best. But I guess the reason why all of the other metal news sites barely run any exclusive stories nowadays and mostly just either copy/paste press releases or copy/paste/link Blabbermouth stories is because Blabbermouth is SO unreliable... lol crawl out of that cave dude.

Oh and they've never knowingly posted "works of fiction." If you think that you're in some ridiculous denial.

I don't really know how the old stuff is going to sound live. When I saw them in 2005 with Lord Worm, they played almost every song from None So Vile in their (long) setlist. When they went out and got a new vocalist, they were specifically looking for someone who could do harsh and clean vocals. What we got was this half-core/half-Brandon Boyd (vocalist of Incubus) clown. I can't imagine him singing Slit Your Guts or Phobophile and making it sound good.

No, it's most likely due to the fact that most other news sites know that no one wants to read a bullshit gossip column about the latest feud between Phil Anselmo and musician X. It is not even worth sifting through the acres of bullshit looking for tour dates on your favourite band (which is to be assumed are incorrect now). Look around you, if I'm in a cave then you've dug yourself one hell of an abyss.

I always go to bravewords and I always find what I want there and no bullshit there. They are my number 1 and only source for metal news. They pretty much have it all covered for all my tastes in metal..

With the exception of them printing those Maiden dates found off Wikipedia (which they formally retracted) I agree that BraveWords is a great source. They don't print story after story of "DID YOU HEAR WHAT DIMEBAG'S GIRLFRIEND SAID NOW?!?!??!?"

Old stuff is going to sound like crap! hahah

First of all, I did say that they do post tabloid-esque stuff that is a waste of time. Second of all, just because it's a waste of time doesn't mean it's false or not legitimate. Most of these "feud" stories come straight from interviews. Therefore, I STILL fail to see how Blabbermouth is non-credible. They are by far the most informative news site for metal, and I'm most certainly not in an "abyss" if I keep more informed about this stuff than you.

And if you actually doubt tour info/updates which have proven to be legit over the last 7 years (excluding a VAST minority), you need your head examined.

I will say the only news source that comes close when it comes to exclusive info is SMN.

*Sigh*

I may be wrong, but it seems you have a lot to learn.

lol not to sound juvenile, but it's definitely you that has a lot to learn dude. Get informed.

I'd also like to add that whether or not their reviews might or might not be biased (they're not, but people love to pretend be pretentious know-nothing "conspiracy theorists" these days) has nothing to do with the content of their NEWS. You people are honestly ridiculous.

You just keeping eating it up, man-o-man. Okay, okay your on roadrunners payroll, we get it.

I also want to say that I have no problems with the IDEA of Cryptopsy using clean vocals and keyboards in the new stuff. In fact, I actually like the new guy's clean vocals. However, they don't fit the music and it just sounds like a total mess. As the fans have said, it's one thing to experiment, but it's another to just come up with deathcore riffs with some awkwardly placed clean vocals and call it "different".

You're right dude. You're right. When it comes to metal, I have a lot to learn. A whole lot. I need to get informed, ya know?

You know, I agree with you. I am honestly ridiculous. I guess for the past decade (or maybe more) listening and living within this musical style, working on a few different areas of the whole metal scene (being publicity, journalism, performing and management) didn't help me to learn one single thing about it, you know? Man, what a waste of time.

You're totally right. I think I should've been a fisherman, or a baker.

Sweet. Glad we're on the same page.

Sweet. Glad we're on the same page.

Sure, sure. Definitely.

Let me know if you ever need to buy some bread. I'm sure it'll be better than any of my metal-scene/music business knowledge, right?

Speaking of that, I started making Easter bread. Oh, and a Happy Easter!

By the way, have you ever heard of ProgPower???? Man, it's so amazing how a newbie like me to the scene never heard of the festival, it looks so cool! Do you think the bands will be hanging out during the festival? MAN OH MAN !!!!!!!!
