Audix ADX51 - electret cardioid mics

hi,

my drummer can grab a audix mics set with toms, snare and kick mics (I know those are great)

+ 2 audix ADX51

for a really low price.

don't know a thing about those ADX51 and I never used electret mics before.

What are the applications of this kind of mics ??

We need mics for the HH and the ride. how would it sound like ?

If they are not suitable for us, we'll get the mic set without the overheads and would go for some oktavas.

I've heard that while Audix dynamic mics are totally tits, their condensers (especially those, cuz they're the ones that come in the DP-7 set, right?) are pretty cruddy. Though if the price is really good (like $50 apiece), well...even then, that's a fair amount of money.
