Haha, yeah!!! Although we have none as yet in Vienna. But it'll come, I'm sure. Or are you referring to other types of snow?

Hm...Lordie and me are the White Noise/ Black Silence (tm) of this board. ;)

Ha! Driving abilities? It's funny how we make fun of the driving abilities of non-Viennese people as well. And usually, when they drive into Vienna, they can't handle the heavy traffic, and so some are afraid to actually drive into the city. ;)

i know that! we however say that the viennese are quick with cursing the non-viennese when the get lost in the city, but outside they are even worse!;)
cliché, but that allways holds some truth!

Actually, I dislike the whole "the countryside is better/the city is better" discussion. It's all a matter of taste and, even more so, of upbringing and being used to. Both are fine but not both are for everyone.

you're right! even though the more countryside you live the more close to nature you are! i know a lot of people don't care for that, but i think it's important!

Well, I do care. :) But at the same time, I feel comfortable living in Vienna. But I wouldn't like larger cities. London and New York etc. are hell. Vienna is a good compromise. It's big but not too big. The best solution would be a flat in the city and a house in the beautiful countryside *dreaming on*.

Yeah, we treat people who don't have a W on their plate differently. They usually drive too slowly and are insecure. And we make fun of that, or worse, swear at them. Pretty vile, eh ;)

Hey, I do that to drivers from Wisconsin. I hate those bastards. And almost as bad are the drivers from the Chicago suburbs, trying to drive in the city. But they're too timid to go when they must, and us "real" drivers must sit and wait behind them. Puts one in a punching mood, it does.

there's a mean joke among locals here: what's their favorite letter on the plate: an M... a viennese car lying on the roof! :D :saint:

WU are the worst!!! So that doesn't count as a W-substitute at all! Either you're in Vienna or you're not. Then you're an outsider and drive accordingly. WU is just wannabe-W. *hehe*

you got it wrong.... I'm proud NOT to be Viennese, I'm Lower Austria and want nothing else to be :p :p (except for Finnish maybe ;) )

and you know nothing about a WU's driving-abilities

@fleischwolf: I'm just glad I have this nickname here, otherwise I might had gotten insulting complaint letters or tricky letter-bombs :yow:  ;) nah, just kidding :) why the hell he keeps old PM's... I think I must get this radar system :bah: :loco:

@eldzik: it reminds me a bit of the pic I took of mushrooms this summer :D
