Similar to a song thread of a while back, let's all recommend AWESOME ALBUMS!!

I'll start with Opeth's 1998 album My Arms, Your Hearse. This album is just godly.

Over to you, chaps and chapettes.

Hey, we have a Greek among us! Welcome!

Damage Done....I haven't heard that. Is that old DT or new DT?

I agree. It is my personal favourite Dark Tranquillity album.

I recommend 'The Sullen Sulcus' by Mourning Beloveth - unreal!

Gojira - From Mars to Sirius

I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS ALBUM RIGHT NOW. One of the best albums I have ever heard and all of you need to go out and buy it. It's insane how much I have been listening to it.

Crimson Glory - Transcendence
Own this album and it will own you. If you don't know Crimson Glory were an american powerish/proggish/trad sounding band and are incredibly awesome. Original vocalist Midnight(who is a brilliant singer) left the band in 1990 but they've recently reunited.

Good mentions people.

Damage Done is awesome, and likely the best Dark Tranquillity album, and one of the best melodic death albums of all. Coincidently I just won an auction for it on ebay...have been after it for yonks.

Crimson Glory are great, and Transcendence has been on my list for a while as well. I will upload the song Mayday for anyone who hasn't heard it to download. Awesome.

My recommendation is Kreator's Enemy Of God. Any thrash fan who hasn't heard this needs to get onto it immediately. Best thrash album of the last 15 years.

I agree on Transcendence. It is a brilliant album. Blew me away when I first heard it. Basically wrote the book on how to make a power/prog album years before it was done. Lonely is one of the greatest ballady-type songs I have ever heard.

What album is Mayday from?

I prefer DTs Minds Eye, more of a heavy metal feel.

Awesome albums, oh so many, how about Novembre Novembrine Waltz ?

I got Enemy Of God when it first came out.Really good album.

I find the first three Maiden albums to be much better now that I've removed Sanctuary, Twilight Zone and Total Eclipse from them on my iRiver. Now the albums are just like I remember them being.
