Hmmm. Songs like this are about the vocals. BG's version sounds a little like Roxette with not so capable vocals for a song like this.

That song's been covered a lot in many different genres. First time I heard it was actually Rebecca St. James' version.

Wow! I seemed to have missed all the cool stuff this year. Next year - no bands - just hanging out backstage!

All the cool stuff happened when I wasn't backstage. Every time I went back there, there was literally no one around. Maybe one or two people, or I'd catch a glimpse of one musician or another, but nothing really exciting happening.

Sorry to hear that. You just got be willing to bounce back and forth regularly and be willing to pass on parts of some sets. I ended up passing on all of Hammerfall to hang out with my sponsored band. Never got a chance to do that before and I've seen Hammerfall A LOT. Besides, you can hear everything from backstage and can resurface if you really want to catch a band or song. Remember, with the number of sponsors there are now, we've been asked not to hang for too long back there.

I was lucky to catch a piece of both acapella moments. Just awesome! Thanks for the video. Great to relive it in its entirety. Hope someone posts the More Than Words moment.

I was listening to classic rock on the radio this weekend when I heard Styx's classic, "Lady." My mind immediately brought me back to this post. I would LOVE to hear Michael and Circus Maximus do a cover of, "Lady." Mike's voice is is perfectly suited for the smooth, powerful, melodic highs of Dennis DeYoung. What do you think, woah-woah-ohaa?

That was sick. Only thing that could have made it better is if it were actually on stage at center stage with BG playing the cover live, and all of the singing at once. Baaaaa
