bands you think the world could have done without

I'll probably think of more later, but I have to agree with Korn. They're first album or two were decent because it was new at the time, but go home and shut the fuck up already. Actually, Korn wouldn't be so bad if they didn't spawn hundreds of Korn clones that is the nu-metal scene of today.

I also could have done without almost everything my sister listened to in the 80s, because I had to share a room with her, and was subjected to all the stupid crap teenagers were into at the time, which unfortunately for me, was NOT metal (she's 10 years older than me). Of all the crap on her walls and in her stereo (Michael Jackson, Menudo, every one-hit wonder there ever was, etc.), The Police was the only band that didn't make me want to kill myself. And my mom wonders why I was outside every minute that was possible...

Whoever thought of the idea of a boy band with heavy guitars is a financial genius. The kids who thought they were too cool to listen to nsync and britney turned to limp bizkit. Who woud have ever thought that there were that many losers in the usa??

Wow! Not that Nirvana deserve all the props they get but they did help bring about the end to Trixter and Kix and Poison and Bang Tango type bands and ushered in bands like AIC Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Even if it aint you cup of tea its better then the "hair" sceen that was running amock.
And I'm sorry but Rage just kicks ass, politics aside.

i like grunge just dident see the whole fuss over them and dident like them
bands like poison and all that glam were fucking terribal i really couldent stand them lol
do you think they dressed up as women to live there lesbian dreams lol
rage against the machine were good biohazard done the whole rap metal thing better in my opion

i have been to a poison concert lol

i dont need nothing for a good time...

fact of the matter is pretty much whatever works for the music listener, paul gargano wrote a cool column in metal edge a while back about the hair bands getting together and touring and evn asked a vocalist of a death metal band at a show backstage what he thought of the poison shows.

he started sing "i want action tonight satisfaction..."

poison as corny as they are actually influenced a guy into metal

The world could have done without all these terrible glam rock gay lipstick losers like Stryper, Slaughter, Faster Pussycat... and of course, without all these more gayer boy bands (New Shits On The Block was a big hit when I was 14 or something, all my schoolboy crushes loved it and I hated it so bad) and maybe without Kelly Family (Europeans would know what I am talking about...)
