Bands you would love to see at Heathen Crusade

We need atleast one NSBM band on the bill.

If you refer to the abysmal genre of music known as National Socialist Black Metal, I not only can do without that putrid garbage, I won't attend Heathen Crusade if a band of that ilk is on the bill.

Black metal is one thing. It pushes the boundaries of my comfort zone (not to mention good taste and the ability to actually play instruments). But an actual NSBM band that embraces racism, white power, and antisemitism goes well beyond anything I care to be associated with.

Root, Hollenthon, & Absu are still my top recommendationss. With Absu's new line-up Proscriptor is still on main vocals. C'mon that's a sight we've all gotta see live - crazy man on drums and vocals :kickass:

I'm sure many of the bands you listen to hold these opinions, despite not expressing them through their music.

I totally agree. Just because it isnt there in thier music, they could still carry that flag. The more research you do the more things you find out. I have a few CD's by bands that follow that way of thinking. I dont follow it myself but the music is decent.

So what about Negura Bunget as the Headliner for night one, and Primordial headlining night 2?

Solid idea, I say.

Implement it.

Korpiklaani and Tyr top my list as of this moment.

Woods of Ypres/Borknagar/ and most of the aforementioned bands would be gaymazing

Yes, indeed. I would love to see Woods of Ypres. That's one band that I think deserves more touring time. Intelligent lyrics, well-crafted music, killer logo and album artwork -- first-rate all the way.

I'd like to see bands from an array of countries, representing slightly different styles: Ireland, Finland, Russia, Italy, Germany -- that would make for a well-rounded and fascinating fest. Sort of like what Glenn Harveston does for ProgPower USA. That's most-definitely the best selection of bands of that genre coming together for one music fest anywhere on the planet. Something for everyone.

So I'm all for mixing it up at HC 3.
