Banned from Sevenstring.org for a month...

I want to hear the pedophile story!

It's just the general topic of jokes I post there

And guitarguru, I remember the thread now that you jogged my memory - http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/ge...found-this-for-tube-amp-and-axe-fx-users.html

You get pissed when I bring up the Axe FX in threads where people are relating shit to Axe FX users?

I even said for studio use, it might be practical, but for everyday normal people like me or the average Axe user, it's just not practical, especially when it costs 1500 Euros. Yeah, I'm a real dick when I talk about the Axe FX in threads about the Axe FX. If you have such a hate on for it, why would you even go into those threads?

You mentioned it being a load for a power amp, and an interface, and when I linked you the Weber attenuator (which I've used and hated, but it would do what you're asking) that goes for less than 1/10th the price of that unit, you got all butt hurt.

And for you to make a studio video of you and your friends laughing at me, that's pretty damn childish. Go ahead and get a chuckle if you really want to, I'm just not sure I see the point

I've seen plenty of cases where "I was banned for expressing my opinion!" was dead on accurate. I'll sum it up for you. Randy bans some guy for making a comment just SLIGHTLY negative about a band. He posts "fuck the haters" because he personally likes said band. Then he bans me for asking why said guy was banned over something so trivial.

If that guy's same comment was in a thread about a different band it would have gone completely ignored. Mods allowing their personal opinions on music to affect who they ban is seriously stupid. I get that they don't want people to act like dicks, but some of the mods themselves act like total dicks constantly, but apparently nobody is allowed to call them on their bullshit. The nerd rage is ridiculous.

Well, as I said, that dude was banned because he constantly trolled a ton of threads that related to growling/screamed vocals. Not just once in that thread.
If I were a mod, I would have done the same, because quite frankly I don't want to read "That growling nonsense is fucking stupid" in every second thread somehow relating to death metal bands.
Had the case been that he only done said something along those lines in that one thread, I might be inclined to agree with you.

You not only totally missed the point, but that thread proves a lot. Yes Guru is a dick, but most of the time when he does, he is rightfully so to have that anger and frustration. The item was a load box with user loadable impulse processor the use TUBE amps live and in the studio all in one, you don't have to get a load box and then use impulsed on your computer, its all in one. Everyone's response in the thread was, "its not better than the AxeFx" or, "I can't justify buying that when I have an AxeFx". Yes there was mention that it could be used to augment features in the AxeFx but was mainly focused for tube amps. The fanbois just came in the chime that the AxeFx was better and that the Torpedo was shit. Yeah Guru had a meltdown and told you guys to fuck off, but can you blame him, you guys took a simple conversation about a loadbox+impulse loader into a [insert product] vs AxeFx.

Well, I guess somebody saw this thread and wasn't happy about it.

"You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never"

"JoshuaLogan is getting his ban bumped up to permanent.

If you've got an issue with your ban, get a hold of a mod and maybe you can work something out. Running to another forum and trying to stir up shit is not the way to get off the hook. There's a lot of retaliatory forum flaming that goes on unnecessarily when that stuff get's drudged up, and it's drama that the people here who do follow the rules don't need."

Wow. That actually pisses me off considering the amount of times I've helped people on that forum and the fact that I have used the classifieds there to buy/sell/trade things quite a few times. Unbelievable.

Woah I just got banned on Harmony Central for posting my home recording rig. What's up with the world today:

^Fuck yeah, RG1527 with Dimarzio Blaze pickups.
I has the same guitar, WE CAN BE TWINZZ:headbang:

Actually you and him totally missed the point as well. I said in that very thread it would be good for a large studio, who probably would have a large amount of money and a practical use for it, but as the thread relates to the Axe FX and it's average user on that forum (look at the thread title), it's not very practical. DI from a load box and use software impulses for the average Joe who doesn't want to drop 1500 Euro's. It's not like the guy was like "hey check this out" with no mention of the Axe then everyone came in and said "LOL dude you're a n00b, get Axe". He specifically related it to the Axe FX. He did the same in some other thread about the Axe FX, came in and said something about his 5150. I was talking about the Axe FX and was talking about what it could do to some guy who was curious about one, and he claimed I just bring it up whenever.

It also demonstrates that he wasn't banned for expressing his opinion, he was banned for throwing a hissy fit, which wasn't the first time. If you don't want to hear about a specific product, you might want to stay out of threads that specifically mention it in the thread title.

Not that I really care that I got banned from ss.org but I got banned for posting some of my Axe Fx videos in the "Axe Fx Gear questions thread". Apparently it was NOT ok to put up your own videos in there but everyone else kept putting up either mine or other videos in the same thread without banning. And then there where some bullshit that I didn't answer questions when people asked me about specifics or not being helpful, being a dick. It's fine that I get banned I don't really care but it bothers me that the admin(whoever it was) CLAIMED and wrote on their forum that I didn't answer questions from the users and just posted videos. That's just bullshit.

I got so many cool guys contacting me there, but the admins still need to get laid.

On harmony central at least I got banned for posting porn. Now THAT's a manly reason for banning.

What was your moniker on HCAF?

Ola, the thing with you was that you kept posting random Axe-FX videos in the Q&A thread. You didn't really ask Qs or gave As; you were just posting videos that would have been more appropriate to put in the recording studio section. You were asked two or three times to start posting your videos where they belonged, but you completely ignored said requests.

Sure I posted some videos in the thread, I know that. Maybe I should've paid attention to your warnings. But seriously lets state the facts:

What's the crime here:
"I posted an Axe Fx related video in a Axe Fx question thread."

If you look in the thread there are at least 1-2 links to random sounds or videos on every page of the thread. Now when I reviewed it there is also another guy posting my newer ones on a later page(glad my soul lives on). I mean how does this ruin the thread? Why didn't you remove the other videos?

I'm a Axe Fx advocate. The q/a thread is obviously for the non-Axe owners that are thinking of getting one, I post vids for showing off it's broots.

All in all, everything is just silly :D

I can't answer those questions, since I'm not a mod over there. All I'm saying is that I can see why they took action in relation to the videos within the context of that thread, even though it's my personal opinion that perma-banning you was probably a bit much.

Actually, just to be clear, your posts were a problem because you posted videos/clips of yourself to a Q&A thread and then ignored people who asked you questions like how the patch was set up etc.

You were banned for throwing a temper tantrum and saying you weren't going to post anymore when you were asked nicely to post your vids in the correct section or at least in their own thread.

The posts are still there for anybody that wants to go look.

Also we'll GLADLY delete any of your content you want removed, PM me links to the posts.

Josh: Troy was banned for repeatedly trolling about breakdowns / heavy vocals in multiple threads over and over and over again. You were banned for publicly questioning a mod decision, which has been a rule on ss.org since at least 2006 when I joined. Since you hate the place so much, the mod staff decided you'd be happier if it was permanent.

Seriously if you guys are interested in a place we can do all the things we want to do without all the bullshit let me know.

I understand we ALL post here on the Sneap forum but if you seriously want to discuss strictly guitar and "home recording" related topics, it wouldn't take more then a few hours for me to get a site up and running we can do that with.

Honestly I would like to see Backstage Metal.com become a place like that, but since thats a joint venture between a few of us Sneapters its up to all of us.

"screw it, no more posting on ss.org" is a temper tantrum? :puke:

If I missed that someone asked me a question, you call it IGNORING? But ask anyone here if I'm the kind of guy that ignores questions? I share my presets, my songs for people to mix and my small amount of knowledge in mixing to my fellow forumists. I may have missed something but to claim that I ignore people(except the admins) is bullshit.

And no problem about my videos being posted by users there, the users of the forum are awesome. The admins aren't.
