Hi guys,

I've looked through all the threads about recording bass but would still love some more information. I want to record a clear bass tone where you can hear exactly what notes are being played and I want it to be full with controlled low-end. Yeah basically what everybody wants.

Anyway; on my list of options currently are:

Plugins (have not really worked for me, Ampeg SVX, Compressors) any suggestions?

Sansamp BDDI
Sansamp RBI
Sansamp PSA 1.1
any additions?

I've read different opinions about RBI vs PSA, some seem to prefer the other over the other. Clips are always welcome!

I can't really sit my bass tracks it in the mix well; it's either too loud or you can't hear the notes well enough.

Tips for EQ are also welcome! Whatever sounds right, I know :) but general EQ tips!

Thanks guys!

p.s. I have a very decent Fender Precision bass so that's not it :)

Try mixing the Ampeg plugin track with the DI track..
That helps me at least.

Im really looking to buy the Sansamp RBI now..
Im hearing good things! :)

I love the ampeg model on the POD. I just do 2 tracks with warp on one of them. that plug in adds that distorted tone that I love oh so much:kickass:
