Well i dont remember there being any distorted bass on any opeth album and i still cant hear it in the new track.

i think thats what they could be reffering to, i think i remember reading that Martin doesnt like to distort. The guy overdrives his bass alot, but not to the point of distorting. Also his bass is a Marcus Miller, alot of punch and i mean alot. Not forgetting he likes making those mids roar and his signiture fender helps with that.

I also think I hear a bit of pop/slap bass around 4:00 in. Anyone else hear this?
