I can handle coffee in the morning, but after that it's just a caffeine ride to fidget and anxious land.

After the coffee here I just can't go back to all that muddy water. I've tried.

Yep, Italian coffee is superb.

I think it's a mixture of quality and expertise. It's firmly rooted in the modern culture and they really know how to prepare and enjoy it. I hate to say it, but it's just one of those things. It's perhaps enhanced by general perception or stereotype (like Fish and Chips is best in England, Guinness is best in Ireland etc etc), but from experience Italian coffee is just excellent in comparison to most other countries.
