The new Swallow The Sun record has made it's way to my mind. No album or ep. ever, let me repeat, EVER has made me listen to it more than this particular album. A perfect choise between speed, deppression, doom, feeling and guts. I've listened to this album even dispite the new Opeth album and the new Fear Factory full album. No single album has made it's way to my top 10 in just this time but Swallow The Sun simpy did the trick and they truely deserve the credit of creating an album of a life-time!

I totally agree, probably my favorite band right now, truly amazing. Their first album is fucking sick too.

This album just got me, I havent liked an album this much for ages

2. Swallow The Sun - Ghosts of Loss
I love it too, nice hybrid of slow and harsh music indeed

3. Primordial - The Gathering Wilderness
This is quite an unknown band I think and the album takes a long time before it hits but when it does it's just awesome. Most of the metal people I know have not liked it at all tho, I guess it's quite much different from usual metal stuff.

4. Equilibrium - Turis Fratyr
German folk metal, I can honestly say I have never ever met a band that has so much energy and power in their music

5. Opeth - Ghost Reveries
I didnt like this as much as some of their previous albums, probably becouse of the high prog influences, but it's still real nice. Specially acoustic and mellow parts work real nice again.
