Best Album Ever

It's pretty cool to see how many different Fates Warning albums people pick as their fav, it really shows how different each album is from the next. Personally, I never liked Arch's voice and I am a much bigger fan of Alder. I do like Arch on his recent EP though, for whatever reason.

This is how I rank the Alder-era albums:

Perfect Symmetry (At Fates Hands is incredible)
APSOG (I love it, but I understand why some people may find it boring)
Parallells
Inside out
Disconnected
No Exit (Love it, but the production is knid of weaK)

...but the best album ever is Queensryche - The Warning. :worship:

I had heard Abbey Road for the first time VERY recently, and I must say it's quite a masterpiece. I always thought the Beatles were decent, nothing to impressive, and were sex symbols. Then my mom showed me this and I was listening to it all of my winter break. Definitely going to buy Beatle's albums this summer...a lot of them
Cool, I hope you buy their best ones, not that they have any terrible albums or anything. If you want some recommendations, here they are: Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album.

If you have these five albums, you have some of the best music ever made, of any genre.

I cannot just pick one so I will list ten ... :p

Bal-Sagoth - Starfire Burning Upon The Ice-Veiled Throne Of Ultima Thule
Burzum - Burzum
Dargaard - Eternity Rites
Elvenking - Heathenreel
Moonsorrow - Kivenkantaja
Rhapsody - Dawn Of Victory
Sonata Arctica - Ecliptica
Summoning - Nightshade Forests
Symphony X - V
Thyrfing - Valdr Galga

My all time favourite life altering album is Steve Vai-Passion & Warfare.

As far as Fates Warning Albums go.....they all lack something that stops them from being really great or really memorable. I have most of them and they all have good moments and bad moments.

I'll say Parallels to be different

Fav albums would have to be "Still Life" by Opeth, "Images and Words" by Dream Theater and "GGTN" by King's X.

I have never heard any Fates Warning, though i hear they are a good band. :hotjump:

Can't pick one!!!!! :(

Threshold - Wounded land, Psychedelicatessen, Extinct Instinct, Clone, Hypothetical, Critical Mass, Wireless Acoustic Sessions.....

It would just HAVE to be a Threshold album.....could never decide which one because they have yet to write a single song I didn't think was amazing! :)

Scenes from a Memory is also my favorite album.

But I absolutely agree with Divineslayer...Threshold is indeed an amazing band. And they haven't written a song that I don't like either. Anyone who hasn't heard them should definitely check them out.

Hail Threshold \m/\m/

Oh i''ve thought of some favorite albunms...can't pick just one :(
Wu Tang Clan - Enter the Wu Tang (36 chambers)
The Prodigy - Experience
The Prodigy - Music for the jilted generation
Sublime - Sublime
(None of the above are metal but they are classics)

Just thought i'd put down some alternatives to the normal :p

\m/\m/ A METAL HEART IS HARD TO TEAR APART \m/\m/
