Best Album Ever

Yes very seriously!!!!
I have plenty Drum n Bass, Old Skool Hip Hop and Ska/reggae!

I'm as big a metal fan as anyone here but no matter how into one genre of music you are it doesn't mean you can't like other stuff!
Metal is where my heart belongs and always will.....\m/\m/
I was born to headbang!!

But the metal clubs in my area all suck so if I don't like other stuff i'd end up having a pretty boring life...haha
WIsh I lived somewhere with better rock/metal clubs...:(

These are in order, but they are so close to being #1 together I have to list em all :P.

Dream Theater - Metropolis part 2: Scenes From A Memory
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Pain of Salvation - The Perfect Element pt 1

Ahhhh I love this cd..wish they'd put out another one, dammit! :D

Ahh! It's wonderful to see someone else that enjoys Elvenking! You are in luck though since their next album, Wyrd, is due in March (hopefully). I am very excited to hear it and according to the band it's going to be similar to Heathenreel with more developments!

Elvenking rule!
I was so dissapointed when they had to have a stand in singer at Bloodstock 2002. I was lookign forward to seeing them...they were still great but it jsut wasn't quite the same!
Hopefully they will be back! at Bloodstock in the future :)

It's impossible to pick "the best" of all time. I'm a new Symphony X fan (saw them in Milwaukee for the first time and it was awesome) and The Odyssey is right up their. Other albums that make the list:

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime & The Warning
Fates Warning - No Exit
Rainbow - Rising
+ stuff by:
A Perfect Circle
Tool
30 Seconds To Mars
Genesis
Jethro Tull

Here's my list, and it happens to be similar to quite a few on here
(this is also my first post in awhile, since I started chatting on the IRC like mad)

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime (INCREDIBLE! my favorite)
Symphony X - V The New Mythology Suite
Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory
In Flames - Whoracle
Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes
Genesis - Foxtrot
Yes - The Yes Album
Rush - Moving Pictures

My biggest mindblower would be Images & Words. When it came out, nothing could touch it. Since then, plenty of great albums have come out though.

And one can't discount Rising Force for totally turning the guitar world on its collective head.

Fates Warning - A Pleasant Shade of Gray

If you have it, listen to it. If you don't, buy it.

That is all.

P.S. Hey everyone! I haven't posted in a while, so I just wanted to say HI :)

I'm going to truly represent... Symphony X - The Divine Wings of Tragedy.

Blind Guardian - Imaginations from the Other Side

About Fates Warning... "The Spectre Within" is in fact my favourite album by them, great production and godly songs. "Awaken the Guardian" and "No Exit" are great as well, but I could never get into the post-Perfect Symmetry stuff. I miss their mythical aura. John Arch ruled Ray Alder and still does, by the way.

Blind Guardian rock it for me... and imaginations is surely the best (so far...!!!)
love Nightfall too, though less tha IFTOS!

Dream Theater - Images & Words
Symphony X - V
Ark - Burn The Sun

Those three left a huge impact on me, each in it's own time... but if I'd had to choose one, it'd be Images & Words, because it had led me into the world of progressive music.

Dream Theater - Scenes from a Memory, Images & Words
Evergrey - In Search of Truth
Pain of Salvation - The Perfect Element pt.1
Symphony X - V, Twilight in Olympus (highly underrated IMO)
Vanden Plas - Beyond Daylight

oh btw...hi all...this is my first post on this forum :)
