The percentage of 2011 albums that I own and have not even listened to is appalling. I need to do something about that. I've been too focused on listening to things for the purposes of my magazine. This is about everything I've listened to more than 3 times this year:

im here to promote another ukrainian band that I personally appreciate a lot. Their EP is out now. Not sure if you can call it tr00 metal, it sounds pretty modern, but still very good, imo. At least in their genre - they are great.

If you like old school death metal this is a godsend, on par with the classics of the genre. The focus is on quality metal rather than being new, original or trendy.

Hm, have i listened to any 2011 metal... just the new Opeth

Now that i've given it time to sink in, i became aware that it really is one of their worst. Unique, but really halfassed.

I haven't done an opeth album ranking list for a while. Need to bring it back now that the Opeth forum's gone, haha.
