Oh yeah, his rhythm's all the more impressive due to how effortlessly he does vocals over it. That sloppy pentatonic lead thing he always shrieks, though, is pretty tiresome but...

Really? I always thought his final solo in Holy Wars was amazing.

It works for the song's climax, definitely. In that regard his lead playing fits their songwriting fine.
