Eon8 was essentially this social experiment that some guy held in which there was a countdown and no information about the site at all. People found host info, ISP info, hacked into the site (barely but enough to make the guy running it up his security), and a bunch of other stuff and it turned out to be nothing but this experiment to see how the public reacted to situations in which there was a lack of information available on something present.
