Blood Mountain is the best metal album I've heard since The August Engine

In reality though, music is at its best when you can air guitar to it. :tickled:
One of my rules is that I won't listen to metal that's singer sounds like he's smiling while he's singing. That takes care of a big slice of power metal bands.
 
I gave a few of these songs another listen in the last few days, and while I can't really still dig this ... it really reminded me of the old Blind Illusion disc in some places ... and then you write this Ali:

This is like progressive bay area speed metal, or something.

and it kind of falls into place.

but there is a smirk I detect in this bands music somewhere and not really sure how to place them ... they come across as serious metal ... but there is something not very pure within it. [/trypicalnonsensefromlurch]
