I'm not sure where I've been on this one, but this is a great release! For some reason it just flew under the radar. Urban is one of my favorite vocalist, making it a very enjoyable listen for me. It's total Maiden worship, but who cares?

amazing vocalist. nothing he has done has been less than great vocally.

O_O

I've listened to enough Urban to say that's fanyboy talk and not realism. He has played with various styles (his singing with Tad Morose is quite different from how he sounds on Bloodbound). At times, he is not great. When he tries to be traditional/early metal high pitched vocalist he is average sounding. Now that might just be that I don't like how he does it, but that he hits all the right notes. I don't know. I don't really care. However, he's awesome with Bloodbound. He'll sound great singing the new Pyramaze tunes. I hope he stays away from trying to 'mimic' the vocal lines that Lance King used, and uses more of his own style and sings in his stronger keys.

Absolutely love this disc, great for the car. Urban slays on it, but the band as a whole is pumping. Granted, there is nothing new here, but it's all damn good.

For whatever reason, I can't stand the second singer Michael Bormann on "Book of the Dead". I want to like him, the songs are decent, but his breathy delivery just turns me off.

I thought I read somewhere that Urban has officially left Bloodbound to concentrate on Pyramaze. Is this true?

Not true. Oh, and since I only did that first album as a hired hand I would like to point out that I never left Bloodbound. I couldn't have, since I was never a part of the band to begin with.
So here's the current situation: I am a member of the following bands: Trail of Murder, Pyramaze and Bloodbound. Wohoo! Simple as that. :)

Don't you have a solo album coming out too? Or is that essentially Trail of Murder?

I liked Bormann on the Jaded Heart releases, so I'll have to check this one out as well. I didn't realize he was the one that sings on "Book of the Dead".

His wife is bound and determined that those solo songs see the light of day. :D That said, I think it is currently Urban's lowest priority at the moment, but he can correct me if I'm wrong. He can also give me a damned call at work sometime today. :loco:

I was REALLY disappointed when Urban left Tad Morose. He is easily one of my favorite metal vocalists (brilliant singer!) and he did not let me down with Bloodbound. I also enjoyed Michael Bormann on Book of the Dead, but...... when I first listened to it, I thought "is this Bormann or Joe Lynn Turner?"! For some reason, he didn't really sound like the "Jaded Heart" Michael Bormann I was used to. Oh well.....I love both of these cds.
BTW- The metal world needs more Urban Breed cds (well....at least I do!).
