Coming to the conclusion that Vintersorg is trying to be like Garm is like saying Opeth is black metal.

garm with arcturus did the over-the-top clean vocals thing, which really worked with the brand of macabre music they made, whereas vintersorg just sounds like a pretentious faggot with no concept of restraint when he goes off with his melodies, it's all over Epic really

So how does this prove that Vintersorg is copying Garm? Perhaps according to your logic I should say then that Bruce Dickinson is copying Maria Callas?
don't be so literal, christ, I meant that he sounds like a drunk kid singing la masquerade infernale karaoke, not that he's consciously and maliciously copying garm, although I wouldn't be surprised if he draws quite a bit of influence (maybe too much) from arcturus era garm and simen, two singers who happen to be ex-borknagar as well hmmm.... the point is, he's singing in the same vein as them and he's not doing it well, period
