Borknagar at Wacken 2002

Il Poeta di Morte
Hail all!

I've seen Borknagar at Wacken 2002 and I really enjoyed the performance: one of the best for me together with Candlemass, Cannibal Corpse and Sinergy.

But I have two funny stories to tell you about Borknagar at the WOA:

I was near the 2nd line in front of the stage during Borknagar's show. My guitarist and I were enjoying the music very much, and so we were singing all the songs together with Vintersorg: in that occasion a lot of people looked at me as a mad (most german people I think). After all the shows at WOA2002 I've learned that german people (and a lot of people from the north-Europe in general) do not like to sing the songs during the concerts, and only sometimes they use to do "slam dance" or "moshing" or I don't know the right term. WHY??

SECOND (AND MORE INTERESTING) STORY (CONCERNING THE SINGER VINTERSORG:

Here is the more interesting part: during the final part of the show, Vintersorg shouted "THE BLACK!...."
as to invite the fans to shout the second part of the title, but no one replied him;
so he repeated: "THE BLACK!!!..."
and so I replied: "...CANVAS!"
but I was the only one, so Vintersorg repeated again: "THE BLACK!..."
and some people, who heard my first answer, shouted with me "...CANVAS!"
for the last time, Vintersorg shouted: "THE BLACK!!!!..."
and a lot of people replied: "...CANVAAAAS!!!"

...then Vintersorg, with low voice, said: "The Black Token."

^________^

I've probably never felt so stupid!!! (I don't think most of the people there knew all the titles of Borknagar's songs, so they thought I missed the title!
The truth is that Borknagar have two songs that begin with "the black": "The Black Token" from The Archaic Course, and "The Black Canvas" from Empiricism...:( )

So now I ask to all the Borknagar members here (and in particular to Vintersorg): DID YOU NOTICE THIS? Or were you too concentrated on the songs? :)

Hail!

I was too concentrated on the time, we were lucky to finnish the gig in time, actually we finnshed exactly when supposed, so were lucky that they didn't cut the sound and power, but it was shure tight, at the break inthe end of "The dawn of the end" the stage manager gave me the one minute sign, and when the last chord stroke he said it was over....phew

Germans are strange people, they get angry for allmost nothing. Just because i got pushed into them or walked into them, they look at you very strange and saying some very unpolite german words that i don´t understand. Anyway DarksomePoet>>>>>>were you standing in the middle in front of vintersorg and had like a black leatherjacket, a borknagarshirt and a camera in your hand?

Vintersorg>>>>> Most of the other bands stops before the time is over but you allways useing your time out, or with vintersorg2001 on wacken you were driving over so you could finsish the exellent Till Fjälls. Keep doing that pleas.

hehe, don't generalize... there are a few out there who seem to be a bit hypersensitive, but there are also a lot of people who don't care about such littlenesses.

However, here you've got a list of the most common german curses, you might benefit from it.

I must say that is is very funny! I would be embarssed too!

Hahaha, I love that second story about The Black Token. But there is the possiblilty that Vintersorg might have just gone stuff it and said "Yeah, The Black Canvas" And then played that instead. :D Hey, it would leave you wondering.
