Great concert. Godhead's Lament and The Leper Affinity were absolutely vicious live, and Mike was hilarious as usual.

Ya, in the jazzy extended part, that isn't normally part of the studio version. It was very Pink Floyd-esque.

Closure was great ! I didn't expect that. I thought Axenrot was the star of the night. His work on closure was fucking awesome !!
The HOB is great. I settled in on the 2nd balcony on Fred's side.
The view from above is incredible. Great view of the bands & crowd.
BTW- the capacity is 2700 & I would guess it was a full house.


Enslaved also lived up to the hype for me. There are many other songs I wish they played.
In the end I'm grateful they played 8 songs.
They sounded awesome from start to finish.

Mike's vox seemed to be very low during Heir Apparent & on a few other occasions.
He looked like he wasn't feeling well. He claimed Jet Lag & that's completely understandable.
All in all it was a great night with Opeth & Enslaved.

Awesome show. I was on the rail on the floor front and center stage. The pressure from behind and to the sides at times was incredible (holding back thousands of pounds of meat is tough). When I woke up this morning it felt as if I had been to the gym lifting weights for hours. Sorry for my crappy phone, but here are two short clips from Closure:

Great show - nice venue. Unfortunately the night was marred for us because my wife had way too much to drink. She left during Closure and said she was just going to sit on the curb outside. She told me to stay inside and enjoy the concert (I did). She ended up puking on the rear bumper of Opeth's tour bus. When I came out at the end of the show, she was feeling better and we walked back to the hotel seemingly fine. Fast forward 2 hours later and we're in the hospital following an ambulance ride. She got 3 bags of saline and some painkillers and ended up being fine. We got back to the hotel at 7am. Good times!

The funny thing is that we're in our 30's, and despite our best efforts at alcohol intoxication back in college, this was the first time we ever had to seek medical intervention. She should have learned this lesson a long time ago. You never expect to deal with this shit after age 25.

Anyway, all's well that end's well. The show was really great, and I'm glad we went. The setlist was quite good, though I really wanted to hear Burden. The soreness in my neck and ribs is a testament to the power of the music and the responsiveness of the crowd. Probably the best show of the 4 times I've seen them.

I only heard half of that because from where I was you couldn't really hear what he was saying in between songs that well
