Breakdown Snares?

I get requested a lot;

"hey bro, can you make it to where the snares sound really big during the breakdown?! Kinda like (insert sturgisxcore here)"

Well, I gotta ask;

what's the best way to achieve this sound?

I tried setting up automation where the reverb gets bigger, but it just doesn't seem to do the trick.

Maybe try automating in a sample of the same snare with alot more bottom end, to really give that full snare sound.

i usually automate in reverb during breakdowns, that seems to add a bit more depth during the breakdowns.....

Try to automate a different reverb on there instaed of chaning the parameters on the other reverb. I'm not too familiar with this genre but I'm quite sure there are a load of reverse reverb trickerly also during breakdowns on the snares.

I just set up a reverb snare track for all my big snares and reverse one and then send it to the same snare auxillary.
