Must be me. I don't see the problem. This is an Iced Earth board or simply a Metal board indeed. I sing for a metal band and happen to be an Iced Earth fan also and my band has been compared (believe it or not) to Iced Earth in a few reviews hence the link in ... i wouldn't go on a dimmu borgir site and promote cause there's no connection in style etc. I'm not selling anything other than the fact that there's some *free* downloads and *some* people might like our stuff. More bands are signing to small labels these days and need to self promote..fact of life.. but hey if people are going to get upset..

There are a shitload of bands here. As well as a shitload of forums. Forums that are for this kind of thing. I dont want to go to the In Flames board and see 15 threads about peoples bands and their own demos and shit. I go there to read about In Flames.
Hmm .. i think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one :Smug: i think the UK metal crowd is a bit more supportive than the US perhaps (less bands over here)
and you're right a lot of bands have demo's out but not quite as many have an album release coming out on a label, small though it is.

I'm kind of feeling the difference now actually .. and i wasn't even trying to get into the bigger better thing at all you misconstrude my intention. Smaller label= more work to be done by the band tis all..... who's your mates band on Sony btw do i know them?? Sony don't really look at metal bands too much over here, COF being the exception

Hmm, I think that if you can't get support on your own and have to go to a damn forum to get it, it's a bit sad...I mean, they make websites to put your band out in the open. USE THEM!

Hey Iced in Flames, man you really need to get a sense of humour all you seem to do is complain...lighten up dude..life is too short. Rob's done a great page for my band INTENSE and he really has the metal spirit (Yes! he does) and i wanted to congragulate him in an appropriate way. And guess what? I thought it would probably wind you up just harmless fun though and you can never get too much metal if you have a metal heart...
