I haven't heard anything off of The Incident yet, but I don't get the hate for Fear of a Blank Planet. I think that album flows really well.

I don't think it was that bad either. I just don't like the direction they're going in general.

The Incident is the worst thing Steven Wilson has ever put his name on, IMO.

I never got how The Incident is one track. sounds like 15 completely different songs to me... That being said, there are some good things on there. Drawing the Line is not horrible, niether is I Drive the Hearse, Blind House is pretty good, and Bonnie the Cat is fun to listen to just because of the groove... Other than that it is boring, and very incoherent for being a concept album...

Hatesong live, is sexy and Cymbalsong is just very creative. For me, it's PT with Gavin Harrison.
GH's collaboration with O5ric is groovy as hell, i really like both albums. And i don't think Maitland is bad, it's just that i prefer Gavin Harrison's flow.
The Creator had a mastertape and Halo are my fav PT songs but it has been said already, that anything from In Absentia will do.
The Incident (disc 1) still hasn't grown on me.
When i play it, i loose interest along the way. i never sat through the whole disc with full attention. Somehow i get lost along the way.
Disc 2 gets my full attention. Too bad it's not as long as disc 1.
