Can Anyone Recommend Some More Doom Metal?

I've got both the 2007 and 2008 album but I never wound up impressed really. There are okay parts but it just doesn't get there.

Dunno if these were mentioned earlier, I read trough this thread kinda fast, but here's few:

Gallhammer Black metal/crust punk combined with doom and death metal. The most DOOM thing I've heard in a while (+ it's an all-girl-band )

Morgion Death doom from the sunny California

Asunder From California too, the cello makes this one kinda unique to me.

So far almost every Doom (mostly death doom) metal band I've heard gets beaten (it's only my opinion, though) by one single masterpiece: Katatonia's Brave Murder Day. It's so good that it's almost lame, because all the other bands won't match this one

Sombre Romantic is what most people will say probably, but I also like Requiem - Mezzo Forte and Fortissimo as well.

Me either but I haven't heard them for a long time. I just remember laughing at the singer's really bad vocals when I saw them at Armageddon Adelaide.. that must be about 7 years ago though. *old* They probably sound nothing like they used to.

I don't think Virgin Black would be that great of a band live...

They seem more like the sit down and chill kind of music to me.

Don't care much for the old-school doom metal even if that's where I started too. The Wounded is coming out with a new album soon. I have high hopes for them. One of the best doomish bands out there..(imho)
