It's just a standard AD kick (Tama 22x18) only heavily processed (Waves RComp and Waves API-550A if i'm not mistaking)
Drums are all AD by the way.

You dont like the riff

If im not mistaken, he used the mono drums WAV i uploaded...that would explain the less than stellar sound.

i do like the guitar tone he got

I don't like the first riff so much but i dig the second one...
