Also I never said that black metal is the only genre which often has an evil atmosphere. I'm not pompous and I'm not even that big a fan of black metal. I'm trying to spot a valid argument somewhere in your post but all I can find is irrelevance in an attempt to put me down.

Just like most christian metal is crap, so is most national socialist black metal (but less so), because any artform that put's ideology first and foremost becomes propoganda/politics/stds instead of art.
Also what's with the "oh you can't say that because anus said it" or "LOL YEAH *THAT* WAS ORIGINAL" stuff? Just because 2 = 1 is said less frequently that 2=2 doesn't mean to say it's true.

Most people here resent ANUS because it's a site that actually has something to say, and it leaves no room for their worthless opinion.
I know the person who started this thread had good intentions, but dude there is a HUGE difference between a band being a "christian band" and a METAL band that just so happens to have a christian or two in it. Would you ever call Iron Maiden or Megadeth or even Trouble christian? Why? Because one of their members is? No way right? Many of the bands on your list would fall into the same category as the aforementioned groups.
Who cares I say. Judge bands based on their music and integrity, not on what "side they choose", or what side your ideological bent wants to force them onto. I'd say there are a good handful of bands listed there that would be aggrevated that they are getting lumped into the whole list.
A band having a christian member or two is much different than a band being evangelistic minded. I think you are skewing the two...
And tell me this - when in the heck did PHLEBOTOMIZED ever get lumped into this? I've been a fan of them for 10 years and never once heard that until this thread. Please enlighten me.

Dude, am I late to this topic or what. LOL. Oh well, Ill throw my little bit in. First off I'll just say that Im a Christian so yall get a feel of where Im coming from. I dont think people diss Christian metal cause theyre afraid of its message(some might be), I think they diss it cause they have no clue what it actually sounds like. Zao, Norma Jean, Chariot, As I Lay Dieing, all very metal, and very Christian. No, they dont sing out "Hail Jesus blah, blah, blah" all through their songs, so you dont have to worry about that. The only difference between secular metal and Christian metal is that Christian doesnt cuss, and they have a more positive outlook on stuggles. Instead of saying "My girlfriend left me I think I'll go kill myself" they say "My girlfriend left me, well, its all part of the plan." For my part, I think Id rather listen to something more positive than death and despair all the time. And no not all secular music is like that either, but you get the picture. I listen to alot of secular and Christian music. I would say if youve never heard Christian metal, go check some of it out, and then base your decisions on their MUSICAL abilities, not on their lyrics. Us Christians arent dissing your music for its lyrics, dont get on to us for ours.

Anus.com is a horrible site, anyone who uses them to back themselve's must really suck. Is it that hard to develope your own views,etc.... why do you need a website to tell you what to think. How did Anus.com prove they are right in the first place. How does that site have any more value over somone's opinion,views,thoughts is beyond me. That site is crap so fuck it and christianity too.
