"Circus" bands

Is it just me or does it seem like there are alot more bands with either "circus" or some kind of reference to a circus in their band name? OR is it because of me getting into Circus Maximus that I am more aware of this now? OR is it because Circus Maximus are doing well, and that Prog / AOR sound is now associated with the name? Cos most of the circus bands I see are in this genre too.

Only other "circus" act that's in my world is Moonlight Circus...which came out of the band Black Jester. Both came before CM.

I'm trying to think of any from a more heavier genre, for some reason I keep thinking theres some melodeathy bands that have the calliopes going.

There are many words that are overused. For instance, there's dozens of bands that use "dark" or "night" in their name. It's just one of those things.

It sounds like being at a circus on acid. That band freaks me the fuck out and I just can't get behind them. Interesting for sure, but not necessarily "good" (opinion)
