Clann Zú - Why did they split up ?

Are those lyrics or what? How depressing. I can understand how some of you younger peeps find that stuff interesting but you eventually grow away from it. "And I will never love again"? YAAAAWWWWWN

The biggest cliché of all is to automatically label as "cliché" the non-scripted emotional language.

Don't leave me, I'm bleeding all over this linoleum floor. I'm still in disbelief. I'm drowning between the clear and blackening. From morning until night i'm losing sight of all the beautiful things. There's nothing here for me without you right here beside me. Why did you go, did you leave me here, leave me here to rot inside this empty place? I know that you are going far way. From morning until night I'm losing sight of all the beautiful things. A man sits naked in the middle of a room of a one bedroom apartment in new york city and no one knows he's there and no ones left to care wether or not the next drop comes out. And the blood would be warm and the blood would hug him just like she used to before she left him in this fucking mess where only one sentence repeats itself. And this is it, it says I will never love again. And on the fifth day he placed everything he owned in the centre of the room and he watched it burn as he recited all the beautiful words that had ever come out her mouth. And these are the same words that mock him now and tell him that she is not coming back that he is nothing not worth a fuck and only one sentence repeats itself. I will never love again. And for the first time in 25 years he cried rivers of black shitty oil that careered down his chest as the dam to his past broke, exploding, and its sinking all of his future now. And that was then and this is now as the animals reach their fever pitch and the windows implode in silence out of respect for the dying out of respect for the dead. I will never love again. And before he can say stop he's running down the street to the beat of his feet and past all the faces. Past all the places he's ever known, an past all the traces he's left of himself and into the sky and into the air past all the stars as he's calling out why. Over the ocean in search of the only love that will ever have. And I will never love again.

Are you fucking serious? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAetc.

   I KNEW some of you would react like that !

well, if these lyrics sound cliché to you, how sounds your post to me, sincerely ? :heh: believe what you want :p

Clann Zu's music rules (according to me), that's the one and only reason why I created this thread. Good thing if you're interested in this band, no matter if not.

that's like the third time I've been accused of using the word "cliche" when, in fact, I didn't. I said the shitz is depressing, which in fact, it is. I'm not making fun of something you guys like, I'm just saying that depressing lyrics and music gets old after awhile.

I admit that you didn't use the word "cliché". I'm not sure to understand what you mean : "depressing lyrics and music gets old after awhile."

Lyrical themes running from tales of loves and lives lost, refugees, resistance, cultural reclamation, hope and survival. So where does he reside musically? In what musical compartment shall we place him? Is he a singer songwriter? Is a he a poet? A…? de Barra’s response to the question is “I don’t give a fuck what you call it…it’s music that comes out of me. I don’t have a choice. You can call it what you want as long as I get to write and sing”

What kind of music/bands do you usually listen to ?

Shit I don't understand this expression
I presume it's something like "go fuck yourself" :hypno: But the question was asked to Dorian Gray, thank you.

haha Tully is killing me today

@Danalieshk: metal, some of which is depressing, yes, but the most depressing thing I listen to is Agalloch and I can barely tolerate them anymore. I laugh every time I hear the line, "I killed myself in the springtime" How sophomoric. Great guitar sound though. Anyway, mainly I listen to death metal, which frankly isn't depressing. I also listen to stuff like Rush and Symphony X which is downright positive.

I may have jumped on conclusions a little too fast then. What was the big "yawn" about?

Funny how different people can be. As far as I'm concerned, it's bands like Symphony X [and any death metal bands for that matter] that gets old pretty quick.
