Sorry for interrupting, that is really not the aim of it all, just had a pretty long day at the Island Festival and thought when I arrived to my temporary hiding place it would be nice to see what's going on on the board. Since I have quitted, I don't have the chance to come and be a part of the board life - as some of you may have noticed it. Anyways I turned on the computer and started to read this topic - I have to admit it happened because of the title as I really like Tee, she is a very good friend of mine - not just on the board but we meet if we can since Zagreb and Budapest (Székesfehérvár) are after all not that far away. I read the entire topic before I started reacting on anyone's post. I completely got the picture of what's going on. Although noone asked for my opinion specificaly, here I'll give you a chance to peep in a bit if you want to...
This board is called Nevermore Discussion Board, right? But for me that does not mean I have to discuss only Nevermore related topics. Actually if you think it over, the board means basically one thing: it gathers all the people for a chat that have at least one thing in common: respect, love for the band's music. People come and go, talk about things they find interesting, funny, crucial, strange, serious, ask opinions, and make friends or enemies. I don't think I made any enemies from here though, just friends. So to track back a bit... You come here, give your opinions on something and then the others come and react on it. Maybe they didn't like what you said but it is their opinion. You don't have to care too much, after all, you're not living together with these people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 4 weeks a months, etc. You can do two things: or you don't care of what they say and don't react, or you write back again. Well, just to get to some punchline here, I don't think we should waste our times on things like arguing about what our opinion is. As it says, it is just an opinion, a very subjective thing. But saying that we shouldn't spend time on arguing about these is just my opinion again. You may do that, and I don't really care. Not because I don't care about anything, but because you do what you want. Ledmag does what he fuckin' wants (
sorry, Ledmag, it was specifically for the fuckin' word. I had to add it, really.
), Metalized does what he wants, Tee does what she wants, all the others that cooperated in this topic do what they want, not to mention WD with his masturbation habbits
, and I do what I want. Actually I wanted to make this thread being alive again - as Ledmag anticipated it.
About IQ. There are 7 forms of IQ levels that are measured nowadays. The most common one - and probably you mentioned this - is the general IQ level. It contains mostly mathematical and logical tasks. But there is the emotional IQ, cultural IQ for instance that can be measured. Also there are a lot of different ones if it comes to the final rating. There are IQ tests where you can get maximum 150 points, I have done several ones with a maximum of 200, 180. And after all, does IQ mean too much really? Just think it over. Some people sitting down at one table deciding of what exercises you have to solve to be considered as intelligent. Isn't it a bit subjective also - deep in its roots....?
No matter what I find it a nice thing to fill in some IQ tests sometimes - just for the fun of it. You can really get to know a lot of new things from these - I prefer doing the cultural ones.
Wow, I talked hell a lot here, and it is getting late and I'll be working tomorrow at the festival again. But at least we'll have Amorphis playing in Hungary!!
As a last word I would like to grab the opportunity to say hi and wish all the best to everyone on this forum - make sure you try to do your best and enjoy summer - or at least what's left of it!
