haha Tully is killing me today

@Danalieshk: metal, some of which is depressing, yes, but the most depressing thing I listen to is Agalloch and I can barely tolerate them anymore. I laugh every time I hear the line, "I killed myself in the springtime" How sophomoric. Great guitar sound though. Anyway, mainly I listen to death metal, which frankly isn't depressing. I also listen to stuff like Rush and Symphony X which is downright positive.

I just meant that certain life events may cause one's affinity for certain genres of music to change drastically. Listening to music that is designed to make me feel depressed is the last thing I want to hear. 5 or 10 years ago? Yeah, just for the effect and novelty, but not now.

eh? I said nothing of the sort. Those lyrics you posted were DEPRESSING. Are you going to argue that? I said nothing about anyone's tastes, only that depressing music and lyrics get old after awhile. Are you married? Do you have children? When you do, you probably won't have any interest in music that has lyrics like, "I'll never love again".

Seriously though, what you said may be true for you, but I can assure you it's not the case for every one.

I am not offensed in any way. I don't care about the way this thread is "taking". I gave some links for people here to discover a band. Nice if some of you enjoy it, no problem if not.
The fact that I am not comfortable with english takes surely an important part to that mess. I'd like to discuss your last argument but this could be done in private, not to disturb RC members.
