Classics Reborn

33 years since Motley Crue's Theatre of Pain. Cock rock was definitely in its hey day back then, pity most of the players that were there still haven't worked out the 80's is over.

31 years since Priest Live. That album was typical of the time, too short, but it was a killer show by a killer band.

28 years since Impact In Imminent. Fuck that album hit hard. In a time before we knew about every album and every song six months before it was released Impact arrived two months after a guy we all knew wrapped his car around a tree, speeding, drunk at 7am and left his sister a dribbling vegetable because it was the passenger side of the car that hit the tree. Listening to Impact woke a lot of people I knew at the time up, probably didn't wake us all up because similar things have happened since but shit it woke us up just at time were we were all coming to terms with what one prick can do when he doesn't think.

We used to play a game called British Bulldogs (no idea why it was called that) which by the rules used to see one or two "bulldogs" in the middle of the field/hall/whatever and the rest of the class ran from on end to the other. If the bulldog touched you you became a bulldog. The game ran through to last person standing. Problem was outside of class we reinvented the game and instead of just touching the person it became a game where the bulldog had to take the person down with whatever sort of tackle they could. In the end it got banned and we got threatened with being kicked out of school for playing it because there was too many injuries.
Haha damn school always ruining the fun!

That is a god awful story that I know too well.

But damn if that album isn't awesome.

Yeah just like in our final year when we started running games of Black Jack at lunch time. That time they threatened us with the cops because apparently gambling at a school is illegal, who'd have thought!

Yeah too many times silly things caught friends and acquaintances out. Not always the worst case scenario but still enough to make you wonder why we did what we did 30 years on.

I was listening to Impact a few months ago and I don't think there is a song on the album I skip. There is not many albums I do that with these days.

Our biggest problem was the money. We'd have $500 in coins going through the room but it only took a few whingers loosing to dob us in. Anyone who knows how to play Black Jack knows it's a dealers game but they still flocked to get beaten then cried when they lost money.

Ya I wonder, Exodus doesn't seem to do anniversaries.

No I guess not. I imagine Fab Disaster would have been the one to do if they did it. Bonded might have broken them but I'm pretty sure I remember reading that it was Fab Disaster that was their biggest seller at of the early albums.

Think I'm going to have to talk someone into buying this so I can watch it before I decide whether to buy it. I've got too many DVD's I don't watch but I'm interested to see just how this show comes off.

FARK!! Band crap is really going next level these days.

$520 for a pair of sunnies is a bit excessive for me. I haven't paid more than $20 for sunnies since I was about 20 and they'd fall out car windows, get blown off in the boat or I'd just leave the things somewhere. For most of the years my dad worked at the power station I just worse the safety sunnies he pinched from work. At $520 I'd be scared to even take them out and look at them.

Yeah I think that it is their best seller. I think I got it for Xmas

I think I only had a recorded cassette of it until the early 90's when I found the LP in a second hand shop.

Was Uncle Chucky's Birthday yesterday, today, tomorrow (I'm too lazy to figure out what time it is there)
He's only 56. I'd have thought he'd be older than that.

Chris Holmes made 60 too, looking at the Decline Of Western Civilisation (which he claims portrayed him on a bad light) there would be a lot of people surprised he got to such an age.
