The casket was offered as a gift at the request of the family.

Gene and Paul might sell anything that they can put their names on but they've always remained fairly true to their friends. I can't see them charging Vinnie when Dime's was a gift. It's not like one casket would send them broke and the good will they'd get for it would be priceless.

It was a legitimate question worth asking and further more worth answering. There will be minds satisfied with such diligent efforts.

There needs to be more Gene love in the world, especially now that Eric Singer has come out saying that Paul runs Kiss and not Gene, (which is what Ace, Vinnie, Peter and Eric have all said in the past but it's news now because Singer said it last week). I feel sorry for Gene and If I post nice things about him maybe I'll get my own KISS Kasket...and there is nothing more serious than that!

Hahaha, Gene really is a love'em or hate'em kinda guy and for many probably the guy you love to hate and hate to love. I have very mixed feelings about him. But over all it seems like his heart is in the right place...when it's not competing with his wallet!

I've been a Kiss fan since the late 70's, they were one of the first bands I started listen to with any thought of buying all their stuff. I dipped a bit in the 90's when heavier stuff took over but I've always been a fan and seen every tour they have done. I can laugh at Gene and wonder just what he is doing some times but in general I'm a fan of the music and the theatrics not the private lives of the guys. I do wish I had Gene business brain though.

Haha in other classic news this morning I read that Sebbie Bach was jealous Axl got the singing gig for AC/DC. I admit to being surprised that Axl got the gig, he was an unlikely choice in my opinion but I'd have been more shocked if Sebbie got it,despite the fact that he claims he can sing AC/DC pretty fuckin' good.

I also read that Lita Ford had affairs with hundreds of guitarists and that she preferred guitarists to groupies. She's still good to look at but I'm not a fan, however I do find it funny the number of male musos that have told about their fucking exploits over the years continually talk and boast and the worst they ever get is people telling them they are lying. Lita says the same thing and she's a slut, a whore, even comments suggesting that her rooting is why she hasn't got custody of the kids. I say good luck to her, I wont be buying her albums or seeing her tour but if she wants to fuck a few guitarists maybe she could start with Kirk Hammett and loosen him up a bit!

See now I am loosing faith in Gene and his loyalty to other musos. I thought Gene got out in his back room, pulled out the tools and whittled these things down from a large chunk of a single tree, but it appears he just lets some one make them.

Well that would explain why they are so expensive.

(although 3 grand, even with conversion to $AU is rather cheap, some of those rotten bastards that deal in death here are happy to charge more than $30K for a box to be buried or burnt in.)
