Sorry, I'm a bit late... Just discovered Opeth to be my new second favourite band ;)

I have one question on the ending of "closure" on damnation:

Is it supposed to end at 5:15min in the middle of nowhere? I found some answers to similar topics in the FAQs but not on this one. Sorry for bothering you guys.

Greetings from Germany,

Christoph

sometimes strange things happen.

when in 1995 i downloaded from the internet 'orchid', there was this instrumental piano song, and i thought it was some kind of joke.

but at the end i bought the cd and discovered it was all true, a parlour strode, and the night sets forever. o_O

the internet wasn't even available for big crowds in 1995! ... it was still some obscure thing of which no one saw the potential to mold people's minds ...

so you using the internet in 1995 is impossible ...

Lol, how can 3 people take that seriously? Or are all of you using a hidden irony which I cannot comprehend?

Or was opethpainter serious?

I was file sharing in 94/95ish. I got my first "multimedia PC" for $2700 usd and it had a brand new 75mhz pentium processor with 8megs of ram and a 850MB hdd with a cd player running windows 3.1. With-in weeks, my hacker buddy had me online via 14.4kbps dial up and showed me the how to set up a Usenet client, Fortes' Agent, and how to dl from the binary groups...coarse, most of the leaching was for appz, gamez, and porn jpgs, stuff like mp3s..which I don't think were invented yet, were concidered a waste of bandwidth and your arse would get royally flamed for upload such huge files...look at the size of the hard drives back then......what a difference 11 years makes!!!!

This went completely off topic LOL.

Another song I can think of is DT's Pull Me Under, the sudden ending is a metaphor for the uncertainity in life.

At least that one ends after the bar is completed. Closure ends right in the middle out of nowhere.
