COB Live Concert DVD 2012

Ugly HAS to be on ffs ! They did that one sooo right in Copenhagen ! I am SO much looking forward to the live dvd ! Hope it at least gets to be as good as Stockholm Knockout Live, but Im a bit afraid it wont be as perfectly produced with the amazing cameraing and clipping SKOL had - being a batch of clips from different gigs and not a dedicated concert as Stockholm was...hmm
Looking forward to it and cant fcking wait much longer !

Outdoor venue!

I really hope they play Chokehold instead of the usual Needled / BBQ, and some other surprises that the current setlist needs. They could do sooo much with just some exciting twists to the setlist.

According to Alexi in his interview with Full Metal Jackie (I've posted the link in the Interviews thread), they'll be shooting
a dvd at their Wacken appearance in August

and I`ll be there :)
@joonas: Chokehold would be indeed cool. I`d love to hear towards dead end too- I think they haven`t played that song in ages. Or mask of sanity or northern comfort.
Can`t wait to see them :) I`m curious about their setlist

It will also look like they have 10 times more fans since everyone will be there, lol. It could be amazing, if they're brave with the setlist. Maybe the Children Of Decadence - Chokehold medley deserves to make its way to DVD, two amazing songs, instead of playing all the same songs that were included in CRY. I'm guessing there will be a couple of surprises but they're not going to rewamp half of the setlist without practise that's for sure. There are about 50 ways to surprise fans with the setlist. It could be anything. Even Blooddrunk had some songs that could in theory make a surprise comeback, TMR, ODYWC, BfH...

A sort of taster of the DVD, this is Wacken 2006. Looks fucking amazing. Still need some better camera angles. I actually like those fadings they do. Imagine this with the new stage and the whole setlist. It looks amazing when they're outside at night with Alexi grabbing the attention of tens of thousands of people.

Totally agree @elli! Decided to attend @Wacken few couple of days. Asked to be fired from my job. Oh, it wasn't because of COB but that sucked already. Thus, I won't miss my two favorite bands playing at the same festival.

No ! don't !
They should record their own gig not some 'Relentless Wacken Forever' ,I personally don't like this idea seems to me like its something big, How many songs can get in 1 hour and quarter ? lol ,Little bit disappointing cause it looks like the set list won't be different than the current one, lets wait and see :)

75 mins is enough if they make the setlist exciting... Chokehold is a must, it's so brilliant live. Children Of Decadence was already going to make it to CRY (along with Bastards Of Bodom but they didn't have enough time to practise), so maybe the COD/Chokehold medley will make it to the setlist. I think a live DVD is a perfect opportunity to eternalize a rare song played live, so I wouldn't mind if they played one or two really "weird" songs, if they had chance to practise.

I totally agree !!1 That vid is amazing ! If the DVD could be somewhat like that its gonna be great !! Yes, more cameraing and switches like Stockholm and its in the box ! Foook im gona get it so much !! \m/

Edit : Yeah I agree it should have been a dedicated concert and not a festival...but hey yeah, lets see...

There's ten (10!) songs on the setlist that already are played on CRY.
Out of the non-BD/RRF songs there's only 1 song different, COB.

I wouldn't really care to see Needled, Hate Me, Follow the Reaper and Hatecrew Deathroll played live at all.

Some of the other recently played songs include:

Bed Of Razors
Children Of Decadence (half)
Mask Of Sanity (half)
Kissing the Shadows
Chokehold
Are You Dead Yet?
Ugly

Those are all more interesting options imo. I would like much more older songs of course but I think it's a different band now than 10 years ago so they don't feel natural.

We saw with CRY they played the exact same set with same passages for a long time before the DVD gig. They planned to include 2 different songs - one of which hadn't been played for many years and one that had not been played live yet - but didn't manage to pull off the plan. I want some surprises dammit, it's probably their last live DVD!

Maybe some of those other recently played songs will end up on a list of random DVD quality filmings from the tours.

Of course with such complex and difficult music you can't just pull any imaginary setlist out of your ass, but I'd like songs such as Punch Me I Bleed, Trashed, Lost & Strungout, Knuckleduster, One Day You Will Cry, Banned from Heaven, Lil' Bloodred Ridin' Hood, The Nail, Chokehold to end up on a live DVD... and I'd love a DVD from the Hatebreeder / Follow the Reaper days :p That stuff just doesn't represent what the band is about today.

^Agreed, I somehow don't see a point in recording a worse version of CRY. The Wacken 06 recording was interesting because there were other rarely played songs like Chokehold or Towards Dead End, and a new DVD should offer similar rarities. Maybe I'd have chosen some other songs than you did, but all in all every single one of the songs you mentioned would be more interesting than the ninth live version of In Your Face etc. Still hoping they're going to surprise the hell out of us this time.

Yeah... trade the secure-hits off for something more exotic... Otherwise it's gonna be clichéic for fans. There are a zillion ways to alter the setlist, and a band like this should be able to pull off a couple big surprises for a live DVD. I could make them ten good suggestions for setlist but they won't ever see it. :p It should be clear they can't play 10 songs that were included on the previous DVD, so there should be 2-4 changes.

Last friday K-Man came to talk with some of the girls in the front row before the gig in Qstock and said that recording the DVD in Wacken is not going to happen for some reason or another. Its not due to the band. Anyway, we'll have to wait until Wacken to be certain but this is what I heard.
