It's partial lyrics to all of the songs. Maybe code in the regular edition completes the lyrics? Anyway...

Thanks for your hard work Heresiarch. Good to see that the lyrics were released after all, even if they did make people work for them. Also, it's funny to see how horribly incorrect most lyrics sites are right now, haha
well, it spoiled a bit of the fun.... But I'm glad, I really had other things to do than spend all my days on it^^ Now that it has been given, will you tell how you did it? What word put you in the right direction? or did you just had the idea to check if the lyrics fitted?
Also, it would be cool if someone posted the same for the regular edition... we'd have the full lyrics, and I can't wait to listen to the album with the whole text!!

I finally got my copy of SE in the mail and spent half the night decoding the message by hand. It wasn't very hard (the message in The Gold Bug was harder due to not too many words to go on). Just time consuming. Would have been faster if I had tried turning it upside down from the beginning. I could only find a maximum of 7 for possible combinations of "the", which hinted me that something was wrong. Turning it around gave me 12 hits on the first 10 lines. Heh. It was great fun solving it. Thanks Mike and Travis.

This code really isn't all that difficult.
Here's a hint (SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO DO IT ENTIRELY ON THEIR OWN):
Count characters until the first repeated letter in the entire album's lyrics (you have to write down the lyrics yourself, obviously). Then count the runes until the first repeated rune in the booklet. After that, you should be able to work everything out with only a little noggin scratching.
