CONFIRMED: Dio has left us :(

I don't even think I have any words. My all-time favorite musician, and one of the greatest guys in the scene, has passed away. RIP

NO. Since I first heard him sing in Elf back in the early 70's I've followed him ever since and loved the man for his music and how nice and genuine a person he was. I'm in shock,as I just saw this on CNN's website. The best rock singer that ever was,I'm gonna miss you,ronald pandova.

RIP Ronnie James Dio. You will live on forever in our hearts. I am truly saddened by this. He was one of the greats and we must not let his music fade into the nothing. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to see him a couple of times perform with Black Sabbath. He truly will be missed.

Headliner Prog Power XII- Ronnie James Dio Tribute.

I will always remember RJD for his work on the Hear 'n Aid project in the 1980s. The man not only had a big voice, but a big heart as well.

R.I.P., our metal brother. :cry:

Given Joacim Cans's set of pipes, I wouldn't be surprised to hear Hammerfall pull out a couple of Dio covers this year. And I'd be happy to hear it if they did.
RJD = legend forever!!

Whoa, just read this and I am literally choking back tears. This is truly a sad day for Metal. He was one of the greatest vocalist of all time. We will miss you Ronnie!

I just found out also and I still can't believe it. I am truly bummed out that one of my favorite singers is gone. God bless Ronnie and his family.

Amazing, still can't believe. RIP RJD! Completely speechless and just want to start the day over again. God Bless his family, Wendy and band members both Heaven and Hell and Dio.

I don't even know what to say, DAM, DAM,DAM. Like ever one else I thought he would live forever. I will cherish my only two times seeing him live. Once with D.I.O. and the other with Heaven&Hell. Rest in peace my friend.:cry:

Damn. I was really hoping earlier when there was a "mistake" that it really was a mistake. Now that I'm home and see this I am truly devastated. He is truly one of the true unique voices in metal. He will be missed, and now it is time to celebrate by playing Dio classics all night long.

The day the metal died.

This is very sad indeed. I raise the horns high in tribute. I hope to hear a tribute song somewhere this year at a show. Hopefully PP. I know what will be played tonight.

Rest in peace Ronnie.
