South of Heaven is the best Slayer imo.

This thread inspired me to listen to Reign in Blood today. One of the first albums I ever got and it's still really good.

My friend refers to bands like Drudkh and Forest as foresty black metal, I guess his rationale is that they sound as if you were walking through a forest.

Hes on the right track i guess. Those bands plus Agalloch's Pale Folklore and The Mantle could be classified as well.
