Slayer has more than masterpiece. IMO everything up through Seasons in the Abyss is a masterpiece. They are easily my favorite of the big four.

As for a controversial opinion... I took a listen to Show No Mercy the other day... can't say I care for it. I know there's a few people here who regard it as Slayer's best; I can't understand why.

I thought that for a while but it grew on me. Give it some time.

Metallica would be my second favorite, but I don't know how close it is for me. I like Slayer quite a bit more. Megadeath really only have two albums I like, and the overall attitude of Anthrax's music strikes me as a bit silly and lighthearted (their music doesn't seem serious enough, for lack of a better description).
