Im not really a fan of Nightwish but I think Anette is a superior vocalist. I never liked Tarjas "expression" when she sang Nightwish stuff.

One of those early 90's Norwegian bands I could never appreciate. And Gaahl being a poofter has nothing to do with my opinion.

Agreed. But I actually like Epica and of course Therion, who use the soprano vocals in mild dosages and in a brilliant way IMO.

Therion are not bad..but pretty overrated IMO. I think they probably peaked within their more modern style with 'Secret of the Runes'...the 'Lemuria'/'Sirius' albums are pretty much symphonic-power-metal-lite with a shade of darkness here and there, really not the huge thing to write home about everyone has made them out to be.
